Hailing from Guangdong, Wu Tiao Ren express the impact and contradictions of globalisation in China. In Mandarin and other dialects, they sing the joys and anguish of young people living in big cities, through a folk-punk aesthetic that expands the Chinese tradition with psychedelic echoes. After China, Macau and Brazil, they land in Portugal for a tour throughout the country. It's their second time outside Asia and they bring lyrics in haifeng and mandarin dialects. They performed on August 31 at Casa da Música, Oporto's city most relevant concert hall. The entrance was free. It was also the first time CASA DA MÚSICA hosted a concert by a Chinese band!
