Following the “This Is My City” tradition, this year’s program will include, once more, a Workshop, inserted on the Educational Actions chapter, giving form to the theme Creativity Through Technology. Being an intended objective to give the participants know-how and skills that will permit them to build their own gadgets to be used and incorporated in future artworks, or even constitute, by itself, a form of artistic and creative expression.
The Workshop will focus on the circuit manipulation (circuit bending), programmable platforms and microcontrollers such as Arduino, sensors, lights and sound devices. It is conceived, primarily, for young people although it is opened to the general public who have an interest in learning new things.
The Workshop will try to make the bridge between the creative and technologic worlds, having in mind the “Do It Yourself” (DIY) concept.
